Hospice Care in Nursing & Rest Homes

Hospice of Rutherford County provides care for patient’s regardless of where they live. As the result, skilled nursing facility residents as well as assisted living and rest home residents receive the same quality care as those who live in private residences. Social workers assist with emotional issues and community resources, while chaplains are available for spiritual care. Certified nursing assistants supplement personal care, while volunteers provide companionship. Nurses visit regularly and are often called on 24 hours a day for emergencies. The Medical Director, in support of the patients physician, will advice the Hospice Nurse with regards to symptom control.
